John Prather is from Memphis Tennessee where, at the suggestion of a friend, he started modeling for extra money during college. His acting career started shortly thereafter when his agent sent him out on a commercial audition. He spent several years in Memphis honing his acting skills with teachers like David Prete and Corey Parker before moving to Los Angeles.

As one of those people who just packed everything in the back of their truck and drove west, John admits he had no idea what he was doing when he first arrived in Hollywood. But he quickly secured an agent and booked the first audition he was sent on.

John has worked onscreen with actors such as Kevin Dillon and Nick Jonas, he has been featured on WWE, and is known for his roles in the show Project: Phoenix and the film The Glass. He continues regularly training to improve his craft and can be seen most recently on Scream Queens.
